Types of Posts Trending in July
DITL (also known as Day In The Life) or timestamp content is still huge as it connect people on a deeper level with what a day is really like. As more and more people constantly see perfectly posed content and AI edited images, DITL or timestamp content helps people feel like they are witnessing real life and make a deeper connection. It’s like getting a sneak peek into someone’s day…who wouldn’t want to be a fly on a wall?!
A tight close up or a macro shot of *literally anything* can bring users attention to something that might typically go unnoticed. We’ve seen these macro shots paired with quick cuts on short form video (i.e. reels or tiktok) create a vibrant video that users can’t seem to swipe away from.
This new transition is taking off strong. We’ve already seen it all over our feed (just this morning!) Basically you screen record yourself drawing something, then quick cut to the item appear (i.e. like you drew it to existence), and you repeat the process again and again. Example: Start with a cup, draw “coffee”, real coffee appears, draw a straw, straw appears, and draw ice cubes, ice cubes appear. This transition pulls users in to figure out what the final image/video will be – an engagement boost for sure!
Yes! New update to Instagram, and it’s sure to keep your followers more engaged. Now when you post to IG in a carousel form you can add a specific caption for each image. These keep viewers engaged longer which gives your post better results!
Super easy…but a bit time consuming. You’ll take 2 videos and cut them in *VERY* short clips and alternate between the two videos. Similar to how a flip book would show a progressive image.
This is just a dip into all that’s trending this July, but these are some that we know will boost your engagement! Remember you don’t have to do every single post to gain a following. Show up consistently and show up energetically!
