Y’all! I have been eagerly awaiting this wedding since Trisha reached out to me, and it did NOT disappoint! These two had such a perfect fall day – just the right temperature, gorgeous golden sunset, and a perfect reception to end the best day of their lives. Hayden and I had the best time spending the day with Trisha & Dustin, and I’m so excited for y’all to take a look at it!
On the drive up to Grafton, Illinois the morning of I could tell it was going to be a beautiful wedding day. There are always a few weeks in Southern Illinois in the fall that look straight off a post card and driving along the Mississippi River looked just like that!
Trisha & Dustin had the sweetest ceremony at a little stone chapel church just a few blocks away from their amazing reception venue, The Loading Dock. We were lucky enough that Trisha got permission to shoot some of their bridal portraits up on the nearby bluffs. I’m telling y’all this area is GORGEOUS!! We originally planned to have all of the bridal party images on the bluffs, but the party van couldn’t quite make it up the hill! That just meant that we rerouted our photos, and Trisha & Dustin enjoyed a photos on the bluff – just the two of them! I always love it when I get one-on-one (not technically 1-on-1 because there are 2 of them, and Hayden was there too, but y’all know what I mean) with a couple on their big day. It’s just so nice to “get away” from the hustle and bustle for just a few minutes and soak in the “OH-MY-GOODNESS-Y’ALL-ARE-MARRIED!!!!” feelings.
After their bridal portraits, we headed back to the Loading Dock, and the party started!! The Loading Dock was the perfect backdrop for their reception, and Trisha did an absolutely exceptional job at pulling everything together. Everything was picture perfect, and it was so sweet to hear so many people talk so fondly of both Trisha & Dustin.
Hayden and I were overjoyed to be a part of their day. Take a look below at all of sweetness!
