This weekend was such a fun celebration, and y’all, I can’t wait to share it with you! Lindsey reached out to me last fall, and we bonded over our mutual love for mushy love stories and Christmas. Together, we dreamed up the most adorable Christmas engagement session {take a look here}, and I got to know both Lindsey and Drake a little bit better. Drake is a super cool, calm and funny guy who really knows how to cook, and Lindsey is a sweet, organized lady who knows how to dance {you’ll see what I’m talking about}. I had such a fun time getting to know them, and hearing Lindsey chat about how excited she was for her big day.

It has been so fun to watch her post their engagement photos over the past seven months in a countdown on Facebook. I love being social media friends with my brides, because I feel like I get to know them better leading up to the big day. I’m often able to hear their excitement in their posts, and it gets me all pumped up as well.

Well, the countdown finally hit zero, and Lindsey and Drake’s fun blush and navy wedding day arrived! Everything lined up perfectly. I’ll be honest, that most wedding days don’t go perfectly. Something happens and throws everything for a loop. It’s just part of life. But honestly, everything about Lindsey and Drake’s day went according to plan. The weather was perfect. A gorgeous 85* with a little breeze – a dream for the end of July in Southern Illinois. We were actually ahead of schedule for quite some time which meant we were able to sneak in extra portrait time {my personal favorite}. It was such a fun day, and I am so happy I was able to celebrate with them.
